Day 1

Arrive at Johannesburg International Airport off your international flight, where, having cleared customs and immigration, and collected your luggage, you will be met in the Arrivals Hall by our Johannesburg representative.  He will be holding a board with your names on it, and will show you to the check-in counter for your flight to Livingstone Airport in Zambia.

On arrival at Livingstone Airport, you will be met by a representative of Sindabezi Falcon Lodge and transferred to the lodge by road and boat.

Sindabezi Falcon is a private Falcon paradise nestled in the waters of the Zambezi, upstream of the Victoria Falls. Here, in a haven of natural tranquility, you will truly experience the sights and sounds of the African bush.  From Sindabezi, the flood plain of the mighty Zambezi and the views of the wildlife in the nearby National Park will capture your soul.

Sindabezi Falcon sleeps only ten people, in five open fronted thatched chalets dotted around the shores of the Falcon. The Falcon is very rustic in style with no electricity, wood fires and hot bucket showers on demand. The unique design of the chalets allows you to encounter up close all the sights and sounds of the river and the creatures that live in and around it, including regular visits from Horace, the resident hippo. At night, you will fall asleep in the glow of a hurricane lamp and be awoken by magnificent sunrises over the flood plains of the river.

Day 2

Activities include sunset and sunrise boat trips, fishing, bird and gorge walks, canoeing, a visit to the Zambian side of Victoria Falls, visits to Livingstone markets and the local chief’s village, game drives in the Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park.

Your stay at Sindabezi is fully inclusive of all meals, drinks and activities.

Day 3

After breakfast you will be met at reception and transferred by private air conditioned vehicle across the Botswana border to Kasane airport, a journey of around 80 minutes. Here you will be met by your pilot, who will fly you in a light aircraft to Mapula Lodge (approx. 1 hour). This is an excellent experience in itself, affording superb aerial views over the Delta and its wildlife.

Mapula Lodge consists of 10 comfortable luxurious chalets on raised decks, each with an en-suite bathroom, an outside shower and a private balcony. Traditional design and use of local materials provide unique detail in a luxurious surrounding.

The traditional design and use of natural log creates a unique, large central lounge with open balcony encompassing a small library, open-air bar and curio shop. There is also a swimming pool for you to enjoy, and to cool off on a hot day.

Day 4

Mapula Lodge is a situated in the remote north eastern area of the Okavango Delta. The shallow channels and floodplains invite tranquil Mokoro trips in the clear Delta waters, while the larger Falcons are home to a wide variety of game, viewed from the vantage of open 4x4 game drive vehicles.

Your stay at Mapula Lodge includes full board, local beverages and safari activities.

Day 5

After an early morning game activity and a hearty breakfast, your pilot will fly you to Camp Kalahari, where you will be accommodated for 2 nights in a luxury walk-in tent, under a canopy of indigenous trees.

Camp Kalahari has been built with a belief that not everything in Africa is khaki.  Traditionally built using local craftsmen and their knowledge, Camp Kalahari is a unique and relaxing environment, combining Western comforts with the flair and colour of Africa.

Day 6

Camp Kalahari offers one of the most intriguing views of Africa, totally different to any other African destination. Your guided safaris will be on four wheel 'quad' motorcycles, and will take you deep into the pans, where you will be able to visualize life as it existed tens of thousands of years ago. The pans are littered with prehistoric artifacts, left by an ancient civilization that once lived on the shores of what was the largest lake in the world.

The Makgadikgadi Pans are also home to huge herds of zebra and flamingos, who feed off the algae found in the pans, and which is responsible for their pink coloration.
